100 Most read verses at Biblegateway

Bible Gateway compiled a list of the most searched Bible verses on their site. From a sample of 25 million queries of 3 verses or less the results are very popular verses and at the top, not surprisingly, John 3:16.

Here’s a sample of the list:

1. John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
