A report from Wycliffe concerning the reach of Scripture to every language helps us understand the magnitude of this challenge. Briefly, there are 2,454 languages as of 2007 that have a portion of the Bible or more translated. The chart below shows the breakdown of what has been translated and the biggest slice shown is the 2,393 languages in probable need of translation.
